oatmeal molassas cookies
1½ cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp ginger
¼ tsp cloves ½ cup shortening
1 egg
¼ cup molassas
¾ cup oats
- Preheat oven to 375°
- Mix dry ingredients together
- Add the other stuff to the dry stuff – use your KitchenAid mixer if you’ve got one. They’re the best.
- Drop rounded balls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets and bake for 10-11 minutes at 375°
Yes, I know shortening is naughty but it works the best. Ask your grandma.
